GUIDANCE
Here you can find Guidance on a variety of subjects
- Supportive drug and alcohol policy for the UK Thoroughbred Horseracing and Breeding Industry
A national drug and alcohol policy for the racing industry, drawn up through a collaboration between many industry organisations, including the National Association of Stable Staff, National Trainers Federation, the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and Racing Welfare. The policy has the full support of the British Horseracing Authority, co-ordinated through the Authority’s Welfare and Training Group.
The policy advocates approaching addiction in the workplace as a supportable health issue, and not solely as a disciplinary matter. The full policy, plus online guidance notes, is accessible to employers and employees at www.racingwelfare.co.uk/addiction_supportive.php
