What are the Stud and Stable Staff Awards?
The Awards, the richest of their kind in the world with £75,000 in prize money, are generously sponsored by Godolphin, and run by the British Horseracing Authority in association with the Racing Post. It is an important way for the sport to honour the people who really make it happen.

Each individual category winner will collect £3,000, with their colleagues at their respective stable or stud sharing £3,000 between them. The two runners-up in each category also receive £2,000. The employee of the Year will take home £12,500, with their colleagues sharing the same.

Who can enter?
The competition is open to any employee except trainers and assistant trainers currently employed as Stud or Stable staff within England, Wales or Scotland at the time of nomination. A yard may nominate up to one member of staff per category. The Stud staff category is specifically for the breeding industry.

Who will judge the awards?
The Awards will be judged by a panel comprising:
  • Brough Scott of the Racing Post (Chairman)
  • former Champion Jockey Kevin Darley
  • BHA Director Toby Balding
  • BHA Director Morag Gray
  • Miles Littlewort, former Chief Executive of the National Stud
  • British Bloodstock Marketing Representative Dinah Nicholson
